Few Questions in Regards to Build a Niche Store and Promotions

I had received few questions that I thought I should respond to on my blog, so if others are not clear on it to, they can learn as well.  These questions are:

When should you submit the site to google, yahoo, and msn?

How to Track the Clicks you Have?

What is RSS feed?

Can you Make serious money with Bans?

What are backlinks?

So let me answer each question as to what I do.  I normally have at least two articles in my content pages, and full SEO optimization (to the best of my abilities) before I submit to google, yahoo or msn.

I always have e-bay banner (for new sign ups) that I post as my ad on the site, this is to track impressions.  I use my hosting account to track the visitors, and clicks with eBay partnership are tracked by their system.

RSS feed is kind of like news flash.  There is a good thread in Wealthy Affiliate forum that explains about it, I believe in General Marketing section.  For example, if you have a blog, similar content to your store, you will update your blog each day or week (totally up to you), if you have rss feed on your site, it helps you keep your sites fresh, but you should still change some wording and add more content at least once a week or maybe once a month. (Once a week is a better!)

Can you make serious money with build a niche store? Depends what your serious money is.  You see, when I started and that was in Feb. 2008, I set some goals for my self.  I wanted each store to bring in $200/ month and that means 10 stores, $2000/ month.  20 Stores $4000/month. Currently two of my stores are over 200 per month, and two are steadily climbing up.  My goal is a little of the course due to the family situation, but I have 7 sites, 4 set up and heavily promoted, 3 new one’s in the working stages of promotions.  I don’t promote only eBay products, so I have steady income of around 2K per month at this time.  (remember I started in Nov. 2007 and had zero tech experience!) Yes you can make serious money of Build a Niche Stores, but once you learn how this is done, don’t put all your eggs in one basket.  I never do as I had bad experience with it in the past.  I built a business that went down the drain with Real Estate market going down.   I don’t promote what I don’t believe in and the only thing in make money from home I do is this build a niche store training, this is because I use it and I am building my business.  I wanted strong foundation so my business does not cripple ever again.

Backlinks are when you have your articles that you post on different sites such as ezine, associatecontent, goarticles, usfreeads etc.  When ever you link back to your site, you get kind of like a point from Google.  It helps you rank higher for your keywords.  Your links back to your site should always include your main keywords: for example, click here to read more about discounted painted pictures (for example purposes). You can link back from blogs, (if they let you), forums, etc…Keep in mind that if your site is about baby toys, and you link back from car dealership, it does not help, but if you are linking from toddler toys it helps.  It needs to be relevant.

Powered By Build a Niche Store - Turn it Off!

I thought I should let you know. At first I always had a powered by build a niche store link turned on, but I started to turn it off because I had a lot of people checking to see what my niche was. Finding niche markets for physical products is really not that hard, and I don’t like cheaters . After all, all they have to do is look through this blog to find out exactly what they need to do.

I suggest you start turning off your powered by build a niche store link as well.

Here are the steps:

1. On your set up, button, there is a Display Powered By link - un check that box.

2. When you do this, the link a the bottom of the page is not going to show anything.

3. To make sure it says powered by yourdomainname.com, you need to do the following:

• Go to Your Template button
• Select the Footer.php
• At the bottom where it says Copyright, , you need to input your domain name between the “.”;?>yourdomaingoeshere<?php print sitename.

How To Get Higher Search Engine Results with Bans

Hi all, So I’ve been submitting my sites to some directories. I was told that this will help me get higher search engine results with any of my sites, including Bans. I could not believe the results. On one of my sites that was penalized by Google, two times (for who knows what reason, because it is happening on two domains I used before on something else). However, even with penalization, my site is actually getting around 2500 results a month. Some of course is the targeted traffic I sent to it, but the submission to directories has really paid off. It only costs .14 cents per submission, so 4 of my sites I submitted 50 times because I was testing the waters, but I just went back to submit more. I just love the results I am seeing. Well worth the investment and it saves me time. So if you want to do the same to get higher search engine results with bans, you can use the automatic submission directory I am using. It is called Directory Maximizer. You know I would not recommend it unless I am seeing results. Oh and the best part, in the case that directory does not approve your submission, you will get your money back.

Connecting the Dots With the Promotion of Bans Sites

Most people have a hard time connecting the dots. So here is what I do with my bans site and how I promote them. You see you need as many back links to your site as possible. You need those links to come from high Page rank pages. At least 2 or 3. You also need a blog to promote those products.

So it gets a little tricky, because your blog needs back links as well. But it is only hard at first and as the time goes on, you will need less articles.

How To Add Another Domain to the Hostgator Account?

I have received few questions on this, so I thought it would be a good post to make. So how to add another domain to the Hostgator account (assuming you have a baby package!)

You first have to forward your domain to the Hostgator account. (Hostgator, should have given you the server info when you signed up!)  You do this in where your domain is located such as godaddy.com.

Second, click on the tab Addon Domains, in your C. Panel! Input the new domain, it should automatically create sub directory[this will be the folder for your files] (Hostgator will register this as a subdomain, but don’t worry about that!) And create a password for this domain.

To create a new Build a Niche Store, you will have to create a new database (follow the Build a Niche Store Manual on this one!) You will be inputing your files into the new folder (what ever the name of your new domain is.)

P.S. to check stats on your Hostgator account, you will always have to go to subdomain stats.

Let’s Make Sure you are Following me!

Hi there…I am getting close to connecting all the dot’s for you. So let’s make sure we are on the right track. The first is to get website up, hosted and designed. Second is to optimize website and add content to it. Third is to write articles to promote your site.
Fourth is to put up a blog. Each of these have to star with basics! Research of your niche
market and research of your keywords. If you don’t do any of this, the people won’t be able to find you! This is a simple fact no matter how hard you try to ignore it.

What are your articles about? They are about promotion. In your articles you are giving the information to people why that is helpful to them. In order for your articles to help you, you need to promote them! And this should be easy, since they are helping people. Don’t write sales letters. Just good quality info, optimized for your keywords.

Some of the places you can promote your articles are http://answers.yahoo.com/ http://yedda.com. The accounts are free, and you can promote your articles there. Get yourself familiar with these sites and if there are any unanswered questions you may want to test your skills at answering few questions. The goal is to answer questions honestly (in your niche market) to help people and if your article can help them lead them to your article or website.

Another Proof on Ranking Bans Higher!

I just wanted to let you know, that I am happy. I had been working on a new site and optimizing my pages and so far in 7 days my new site is indexed and I am Ranking My Bans Higher for my selected keywords.

The best part about this is that, before it even got indexed I made a sale because of my usfreeads I just love Bans

Here is the screen shot of my newly indexed site. It only shows small number of pages, but there are 8 all together on the first page of Google for my selected keywords.

Important to note, SEO your sites! Select keywords that have at least 30 searches per day at least 3 keywords in it, and go for it! If you follow my training, you will be ranking your bans stores, very high very soon! Just do the work and don’t let it go stale!

What NOT to do with you Build a Niche Store!

Hi all. I mentioned how I made almost every possible mistake with my first site. Even though I made a lot of mistakes, it still payed back for the cost of software. So I have put a video on what not to do with your build a niche store software.

The mistakes were:

• I did not narrow down my niche
• I did not select the right keywords
• I could have chosen better domain
• I could have optimized my site better
• I wrote unrelated articles

I am telling you this so you don’t make the same mistakes. I have also showed you some of the things I have been testing on few of my sites and it seems to be working great for me in terms of ranking high for my keywords.
